In January 2022, we launched our new brand. Community Foundations Australia Chair Ben Rodgers explains why we made the change.

Our company was established in 2007 as Australian Community Philanthropy to support the growth of the community foundation sector. Over the past fourteen years, the members we serve and our organisation have together grown in strength and confidence.

While our name, look, and brand is changing, our values and commitment remain constant. We believe in the power of community, solidarity, and trust. We are committed to supporting people who want to get involved and have a say over their future and the future of their communities.

"While our name is changing, our values and commitment remain constant..."

Our new name is simpler, clearer, stronger. It marks a fitting change for an organisation that has a clear and simple purpose: Community Foundations Australia works to make Australia a better place where everyone belongs, one community at a time.

Communities around Australia face many challenges today. There has never been a more important time for the connected, collaborative, and democratic approaches that community foundations offer, empowering people to engage in shaping the future of the place they call home.

We look forward to our continued partnership with you as we work together to support the on-going strengthening of community foundations in Australia.

Sincere thanks to all our partners whose practical support has made this change possible, particularly the Australian Communities Foundation, the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation, the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal, and the Ian Potter Foundation. This development builds on the contributions of many passionate community foundation supporters over the years. I’d also like to acknowledge the tireless work of our Directors and staff, past and present. Thank you all for being with us, and with each other.
